September 7, 2000 Today is Thursday, and we were trying to do a lot of stuff, but we didn't come out too successful. We first off we started off at the Golden Buddha. A large stucco Buddha that had been in temporary storage in Wat Traimit for 20 years was dropped from a crane while being moved to a permanent site revealing over 5 tons of sold gold Buddha under stucco. The stucco covering was probably intended to hide it during one of the Burmese invasions. The wat is now known as the temple of the Golden Buddha. Then after that we took a "Tuk - Tuk" to the pier, well not the right one, but anyway we got to the waterside. Took a water taxi boat around for fun, and we ended up somewhere, but we finally figured out we were had gotten off, we ended up going back on it again, but after we ate lunch at the "Oriental Hotel." Then went to McDonalds for lunch, well I did, I don't know where they ate lunch, well at least I don't remember. Then after running all around we went to the "Hyatt Hotel" and right next to the hotel there is a shire, which it is called "Brahma Shire." After that we decided to go inside the Hyatt Hotel and have some tea. So we went in and walked around, and saw that they were setting up for a wedding reception. Then after that we decided to go back to the hotel, and rest, and then we went to dinner, and they had a show of Thai dancing, which was fun. Then we back upstairs to the hotel room, and went to bed.
